Creative Embroidery – a FREE 5-week course with LILLINGTON MAKERS

Are you a resident in Lillington and looking to learn new skills together with a bunch of friendly crafters?

Come and learn to stitch with us!  Embroidery is making a huge comeback because it helps to relieve stress and anxiety and it’s easy to learn.  And with a few colourful stitches you can decorate your home, personalise gifts, or even fix your clothes in an eco-friendly way!

In this free 5-week course, you’ll learn every week different stitches and techniques and build your own stitch booklet to keep. Our experienced artists will guide you step by step, so you’ll feel supported and confident to try new things.

By the end of the course, you’ll have completed a special embroidered design, perfectly timed to finish just before Valentine’s Day

Course Dates and Times:
This 5-week course starts on Monday 12th January, 10am-11.30am
Course dates: 23.2. / 2.3. / 9.3. / 16.3. / 23.3.

Location: 
Southorn Court community space – go past the library up Mason Avenue to the top and then hang a left when you’re facing a block of flats.  The next block of flats is Southorn Court with the colourful mosaic mural we created last March.

Who can join:

We welcome all adult residents, those who work in Lillington, and those who have family/friends in Lillington they visit regularly.  Come and meet new people!  Learn new skills and have some fun!
Total beginners to experienced crafters are welcome

Costs:
This 5-week course is completely FREE and we provide all materials and refreshments!
