LUNCH&LEARN – Mexican Folk Art with aluminium drink cans

During Mental Health Awareness Week 9-15 May ’22 we are running two 30minute lunchtime workshops to encourage you to take steps to protect your own mental health and wellbeing.  We want to raise awareness how loneliness impacts on our lives and promote creative opportunities to connect to like-minded people so everyone can enjoy being active in our community.

Level of difficulty:   Try it!
a workshop to help you get started on your creative journey.

“Such a great way of recycling drink cans into artwork, and so easy and accessible.  I’m addicted!”

Workshop Date:   Thursday 12th May, 12.15pm-12.45pm

How to book a place
Register your place by clicking on the orange ‘Register Now’ button you can see now on top right.  You will then receive an email confirmation with the Zoom link.

What you will learn:
We will show you how to cut, manipulate and shape empty aluminium drink cans and create eye catching designs and objects inspired by Mexican Folk Art.  People who enjoy working with materials and are looking to develop their crafting skills will particularly enjoy this lunchtime taster workshop.

For this workshop you will need:

  • clean empty aluminium can
  • scissors
  • paper
  • pencil

This workshop is co-delivered by Arty-Folks artists and members with lived experience.
