From a blank Canvas to Change – a FREE weekly creative peer support group for young adults 16-25yrs old who are struggling with mental overwhelm and social anxiety.

Workshop date and times:

You can join us Wednesdays 4pm-6pm at Arty-Folks studios in Coventry.

Book your place and we will then call you to talk through your needs, and to tell you more about the group and art projects.  You can then let us know if you are struggling to come on your own.  If you want your parent/carer/health professional to accompany you we need to know in advance as we want to keep our groups quite small.

Level of difficulty:

The workshops are suitable for total beginners as well as those who are more experienced.  Our expert artists and Peer Support Workers will help you step by step build your skills and confidence to express yourself.

Meet Liah, our Artist in Residence over the summer who will be sharing her art skills with you.  Then aged 19, Liah was a service users in 2023 and left us to study Games Design at University.

What you will learn:

  • A wide range of visual arts & crafts including digital art, film making, painting, sculpture, textile…. in a safe environment that feels much more like an art college (rather than school)
  • How to manage stress and anxiety using your creative skills
  • Learn from specialist artist in Graphic Design, film making, games design, murals, etc.

Costs: All workshops are completely free and we provide all materials, and refreshments!

I am writing on behalf of a young person i support. He currently has difficulties with mental health and social anxiety and struggles to mix in groups of people but would like to try and start mixing with other people his age. He has an interest in art and does this as a hobby currently so feels this would be a good group for him to attend. He is looking at the Wednesday evening groups from 4-6pm. Potentially starting on the 18th. He would like to bring someone for his group if that can be discussed on the phone.

If you cant get hold of Andy for any reason feel free to call or email me. I am his progression coach.
