We have published our first book!

‘Unseen Stories’ is available on Amazon for £14.50.  The small profit of £4.31 per book will be reinvested in art materials packs for participants who are vulnerable and are shielding.

Unseen Stories charts the remarkable journey to recovery of nine young adults aged 18 to 30 years old who attended our young adults group Making Headway in 2017. Through their artwork they explored personal experiences that had thrown them off course and unhelpful life patterns and that were holding their dreams hostage.

When you read their stories you can clearly ‘see what they mean’ through the rawness and turmoil expressed in their artwork and personal accounts that were written during 1:1 mentoring sessions.

The book was launched on 10th October 2019 to mark World Mental Health Day, highlighting that a life is lost to mental ill health every 40 seconds. Unseen Stories will instil people who may have reached a very low point in their lives with hope and will encourage them to reach out for help.

Yesterday's Diary

Our friends at Sitting Rooms of Culture have published their first book ‘Yesterday’s Diary – An Anthology of Coventry in Lockdown’, and we are deeply honoured that they donated £383.50 of the book’s royalties to Arty-Folks.

The Board of Trustees is pleased to present the Annual Report 2020/21 highlighting how much the charity achieved during the 51 weeks pre-Covid-19.  Trustees would like to thank all our supporters for sharing our vision, for giving so much of their time to help us learn to do things boldly towards a post-pandemic world and to save lives by bringing people struggling with mental health challenges out of social isolation.  We hope you will enjoy reading this report.
