The Board of Trustees are pleased to present the Annual Report 23/24 reporting on the project we successfully completed and highlighting our members recovery journey.

We would like to thank all our Funders and individual Donors for sharing our vision and enabling people struggling with mental health challenges in Coventry&Warwickshire to anchor in the community.  We hope you will enjoy reading this report.

Unseen Stories charts the remarkable journey to recovery of nine young adults aged 18 to 30 years old who attended our young adults group Making Headway in 2017. Through their artwork they explored personal experiences that had thrown them off course and unhelpful life patterns and that were holding their dreams hostage.

When you read their stories you can clearly ‘see what they mean’ through the rawness and turmoil expressed in their artwork and personal accounts that were written during 1:1 mentoring sessions.

The book was launched on 10th October 2019 to mark World Mental Health Day, highlighting that a life is lost to mental ill health every 40 seconds. Unseen Stories will instil people who may have reached a very low point in their lives with hope and will encourage them to reach out for help.

‘Unseen Stories’ is in full colour and available on Amazon for £14.50.

Our friends at Sitting Rooms of Culture have published their first book ‘Yesterday’s Diary – An Anthology of Coventry in Lockdown’, and we are deeply honoured that they donated £383.50 of the book’s royalties to Arty-Folks.
