Stepping Out in Nuneaton – Join us for a creative nature walk!
walk & talk & arts & crafts & photography to boost your physical and mental wellbeing.
Meet friendly like-minded people and become more confident and healthier.

This group is for adults of working age who are looking for social, creative and nature inspired strategies to improve mental health and wellbeing.
Give us a call on 074 436 436 34 to let us know you want to come and join us any Tuesday 10.30am-12.00pm.

Level of difficulty: suitable for all abilities.  We want to enjoy being in nature and each other’s company, and we will just adapt our walking pace to each other.

“Hard to believe but a couple of years ago I was not even able to walk to the end of my road.  I had experienced anxiety before but not like this, and I have no clue what brought it on!  It took ages but with the help of my family I pulled through and now I can enjoy chatting, walking, and being arty with other people again.” (Participant March’22)

Where are we walking and what art will we be doing?
We will meet at the Nuneaton Museum by Riversley Park where we will begin our walks.  When we know as a group what we enjoy doing we will begin to extend and explore our beautiful parks and landscapes.  Along our walks we will collect natural materials to create cards, crafty objects, take photographs, learn to draw, but mostly we will get to know each other.  All art materials will be provided to you free of charge.  Our walks will finish at Nuneaton Museum Cafe with a hot cuppa of course!

  • Gain a better understanding walking in nature benefits your health and wellbeing
  • Feel more confident in using creative skills to help you unwind and relax.
  • Meet new like-minded people with a shared experience of coping with low mood, depression, and anxiety.

Please note that you can only attend one course at any one time.  Once you have completed your course, you may be able to book on a further course.
