A Passion for Plants – in-person at Bedworth Heath Community Centre, Smorrall Lane, Bedworth Heath CV12 0JN
a free 5-week painting course in a small group. This course is for adults 18+ who live in Warwickshire and who want to learn more about botanical art through drawing, collage, and painting with acrylics. All art materials are provided.
Level of difficulty: Beginners and Improvers

You will learn:
Inspired by Victorian Botanical Artists and artist Georgia O’Keefe you will learn to use your passion for plants to express yourself. This is quite a fast-paced course focusing on colour with a different project each week, including
- art history: the life and art of botanical artists and artist Georgia O’Keefe
- sketching and drawing from observation
- colour theory and mixing a wide range of shades
- collaging and layering
- application and blending techniques
- to enjoy painting and to trust the creative process
